Sieffas swam across the water...

Sieffas swam across the water to investigate where Centra had broken through the surface of the moon. Sieffas sniffed about and then started to dig through the underside at the same place Centra had her arm stuck. Sieffas poked his head out and poked around looking this way and that and not finding Centra about and Streckna had since flown far off and wasn't to be seen either.

Sieffas scraped the dirt off his head. He sat there watching as the moon went traveling across the sky, Voryon below, moons everywhere. Cloud formations among all of it.

Sieffas started scraping the surface with one of his toenails, mindlessly doodling as he was enjoying the view. He blinked a few times.

In her comfort Centra lost control...

In her comfort Centra lost control, her head became heavy, eventually she laid over on her side. And fell asleep. It was a much needed sleep.

This was a very large moon, large enough with just enough gravity, and Centra was on top of the moon on the side furthest away from Voryon, so Voryon gravity was also holding her in place. Centra didn't realize it but this was to her advantage.

Streckna took leave of Sieffas and flew off around the inside of the moon and then breached the underside and went out. Streckna couldn't see Centra anywhere and couldn't hear her thoughts. Streckna started to fly among the nearer moons to see if Centra could be found. Streckna was still concerned the vorion might do some damage.

The moon gravity was light and continued to turn slowly, eventually turning to put Centra closest to Voryon opposite of where she was when she landed. Centra lay there quietly. If she had not been sleeping and had let loose her grip she could have pushed off easily and broken the gravity and start her fall again, but she lay there quietly and nature kept her where she was until she woke.

Centra was extremely sleepy.

Centra was extremely sleepy. She didn't have any idea how she could get some rest before the next part of her journey. Holding onto a shrub while she slept seemed like an impossibility.

It was almost too easy...

It was almost too easy this time... given all Centra had been through. The next moon came up in front of her and her timing was such, and her momentum was such, she simply stood up and started running in mid air, and landed on the next moon, then hunkered down and grabbed hold of a small shrub nearby.

The shrub was prickly, and Centra released her grip on it, and then saw further down the length of the shrub she could grip it and not have her hand suffer the consequences.

She looked around, she looked up, taking in all she could. Off into the distance were the two moons she was after.

She pulled out some jelly and some berries, and had a little munch, sitting down comfortably all the while keeping her grip on the shrub with one hand. And she drank some water.

Fescha gazed into the telescope. The eyepiece was starting to leave a ring on his cheek.

She is almost there he thought to himself. He stirred with excitement, the ring around his eye where the telescope met his check was getting red.

Centra realized...

Centra realized that she could maneuver her way toward the nearest moon and get caught in the slipstream of air enveloping it. And she wanted plenty of airspeed to do what she suddenly realized was possible. She pulled her arms in and began to aim herself toward the rim of the closest moon.

She gained speed and as she did so she could feel herself being pulled away from the moon, she kept arching herself to keep her fall in a curved direction. The curve was taking her close to the moon, but her speed was so fast as to keep her from actually getting to the moon surface.

From a distance it appeared that she was following the curve of the moon. Fescha had been keeping an eye on her with a telescope. He had been keeping everyone apprised of Centra's situations, as much as he could.

As Centra flew around this moon her curve started to take her into alignment with another passing moon. She could picture in her mind what was going to happen.

She was going to be shot up into the air again, and it looked like the timing was about perfect.

Streckna took in the open expanse within the moon.

Streckna took in the open expanse within the moon. As she did so she decided to land on an area with the expanse of water. She wanted to talk with someone.

"Hello."

"Its been awhile," Streckna thought.

The dragon, known as Sieffas, very small, only about a foot long, but loaded with a pointy coat of armor, and a smile when you looked at him head on, replied, "It has."

"I miss these chats once the breeding season is over."

The two had a different relationship, one generally not known to exist between borii and dragons, as when the eggs are present the dragons will eat them. Sieffas wasn't particularly interested in Borri eggs like other dragons, they made him feel strange.

"What was all that going on off in the distance?"

"I don't know, I'd hoped you knew Sieffas. The vorion is going from moon to moon. I've never seen one do that."

"Vorions, here?"

"You saw it too," Streckna looked at Sieffas. They weren't exactly enemies even when the egg season was on. These two had been through an adventure and had learned to tolerate the other for the purpose of each other's company, and when necessary, to trade information.

Sieffas thought about how the eggs made him feel, and strangely enough had an urge to have one, and Streckna picked up on the thought but ignored it for the sake of the good conversation.

As Streckna hit...

As Streckna hit the surface of the moon, the percussive impact drove more air into the moon. This occurred while Centra was just getting herself wriggled out through the surface. It wasn't much but the extra force of air inside the moon popped Centra out like a cork. She hadn't been ready for this and lost her grip on the moon and began to free fall again.

Streckna found herself inside the moon, turned and could see where Centra had been and could also see the hole "self-healing" like these moons tend to do. Streckna glided around the interior of the moon. It was more an instinctual flight, as if she was making sure the vorion hadn't damaged anything in this moon, to be sure future eggs wouldn't be damaged.

Centra cursed at herself as she fell. She looked about. The little moon was very close to a very large vorion moon passing by. Centra began to swim her arms and legs to try and head toward that moon. She didn't like the idea of a hard impact but she also didn't want to be in freefall again. She wanted to get her bearings and figure out how to get back on track to her destination.

Another moon was also crossing her path. She wondered if she might use the slip stream technique that had blown her up near the one moon she hadn't been able to catch hold of when Patia and Centra started this adventure.

She kept "swimming" toward the first large passing moon.

Streckna made the gliding turn easily...

Streckna made the gliding turn easily... she simply did what came naturally to her. Centra worked at the underside of the surface pushing herself through what opening she could create. She heard the slicing sound from Streckna cutting the surface of the moon. Streckna picked up speed eyeing the spot she had glided across while creating the opening. She could also see Centra's arm and hand moving about near the end of the opening she had created.

Streckna pulled her wings in for a high speed approach, she hardened herself for the moment when she would hit the surface. The surface wouldn't have had enough time at this point to close off the opening Streckna had made and so Streckna anticipated traveling through the surface just a little way from Centra.

Streckna hit the surface.

Streckna came closer...

Streckna came closer and closer, she will slice open the moon and make a long opening then pull that wing off the surface and then do a chondelle, floating up until she stalls and then turning and falling back into the opening she just created before it closes. A maneuver she had done hundreds if not thousands of times.

Centra was working the underside of the surface prying it open and then finding it closing again before she could do anything.

She became a little frustrated, then decided she would have to slowly wriggle her way out as she pried the underside apart.

Streckna pulled up and up and her momentum gave way to that moment when gravity starts to pull backwards and there is a slowing of everything. Streckna began to prepare for her turn.

Centra decided it was time to go...

Centra decided it was time to go, although she gave this thought unwillingly. She had to return to her plan to reach the pair of moons.

She loosened her arm in the moon surface. She did so in such a way as to start opening the moon surface as if her arm were a lever and by moving back and forth should could pry the surface apart. As she did so though, the open area went closed again.

"Peculiar," Centra thought. She kept at it.

Streckna turned...

Streckna turned....

A Borii is enormous. Even a small one is three or four times larger than a human. Streckna was among the largest of borii. She flew up and around the moon doing an S shape as part of her flight, she was deciding how to best breach the little moon, and thus find out what the vorion was doing inside.

Streckna looked about, Voryon below, moons all around in their paths. She let her glide path take her away and up.

When she turned she went into a forward slip bringing her left wing down and slightly twisting herself off axis from her forward motion, this allows her to slice through the air and to reach her maximum speed.

The borii of Voryon are not a soft tissued animal, they have a tough skin, their tail can slice through metal and bone.

Streckna can kill if she wants to.

Her eyes locked onto the area where Centra had sunk beneath the surface, the slipstream passing her, her tail out behind her in a straight line. She wanted to breach the moon and then have enough air speed to stay afloat inside the moon, she would have to turn as well. Perhaps several turns, she cannot hover, but she can stall. Once inside it will be dark.
